Milipol GORE-TEX PYRAD FR Riot Protection

Summary

GORE-TEX Professional has created a new range of specialist flame-retardant protective fabrics designed to meet all the demands of public order policing. The new GORE-TEX Professional Riot Collection gives police forces the choice of different garment solutions to best meet their specific operational needs, without compromising protection, performance, or comfort.

GORE-TEX Professional (Gore) will be presenting the PYRAD® product technology for riot protection at Milipol 2023 in Paris (November 14-17, 2023) at booth 5 C 110.

The Riot Collection is tailored to provide protection in each layer of clothing, from first layer to outer layer, so that they work together to meet varying weather, activities and operational challenges. The garments incorporate the inherent flame-retardance and heat-resistance that comes with PYRAD® technology.

A new PYRAD® Duty Uniform by GORE-TEX LABS combines lightweight, highly breathable comfort with flame retardance. The riot suit has very low water pick up, with fast redry for everyday comfort.

The GORE-TEX PYRAD® Riot Suit is lightweight, abrasion resistant, waterproof, breathable and comfortable while still protecting the wearer from liquids, common chemicals, heat and flash fire.

GORE-TEX PYRAD® Riot Police

Insulated versions offered from different laminates for the Riot Suit are ideal for officers for use in colder months. They can be designed using body mapping that ensures the insulation is only added where needed, reducing unnecessary bulk and improving freedom of movement.

The unique flame-retardant GORE-TEX Stretch technology offers additional freedom of movement, not only, but especially in combination with protective vests.

The GORE-TEX Professional product collection with flame-retardant protection solutions makes the job easier as it is lighter, softer and more comfortable than conventional clothing. With high levels of comfort and protection, officers will not be hampered by becoming too wet, too cold or too warm and can better concentrate in the task in hand.

Katja Christof, Product Specialist at GORE-TEX Professional, said: “We are continuously innovating to expand and enhance the choice of high-performance protective clothing solutions available to police forces.  The GORE-TEX Professional Riot Product Collection delivers critical protection for officers and offer much greater flexibility to forces so that they can procure garments that are designed to meet their own specific operational needs. This will result in improved comfort and protection for officers, helping them to better perform their day-to-day duties and deal more effectively with the challenges of modern-day policing.”

All the materials in the PYRAD® range are highly durable and designed to withstand the rigours of operational deployment in challenging environments with high abrasion resistance. They are available in a wide range of colours to suit the different corporate identity needs of police forces.
